Meet Adam

bowers family

I’ve lived in Michigan, Florida and for the last ten years, in Virginia, but I remain true to my Detroit sports teams. (Go Red Wings!) I met my wife, Jenny, in college while we were both studying the Bible and working in missions. We’ve been married for 8 years and have two wonderful kids. My son is almost 3 and recently discovered the joys of Hot Wheels and Legos. My daughter is 6 months old and recently discovered her toes.

I’m a serial ministry entrepreneur and have also started two small businesses. I developed and led a missions ministry called Xtreme Impact for five years with 460% growth during that time. We were blessed to train hundreds of people and organize dozens of missions around the world in Asia, Europe, Africa, and North, Central and South America. Our goal was to show our teams real mission work and be a genuine blessing to our missionary hosts. Many of our alumni are now serving in missions or full-time ministry!

I currently serve as Executive Pastor at a church in Virginia. I have the privilege of leading all of our ministries, staff pastors, and operations.

My primary passions are preaching, leadership, and discipleship. I love to teach and preach God's Word in ways that impact people's lives. I've been a student of leadership for many years and have developed a number of training tools and resources along the way. My discipleship approach is very organic and multiplying based on the life of Christ.

I also study theology, history, archaeology, and business. I have a Master's Degree in Divinity with a specialization in pastoral counseling. I’m a lifelong learner and don’t plan to stop. My favorite ways to grow right now are through podcasts (because I can listen while I’m working on something) and Kindle books (because I can go back and search them as a reference). Every day I learn something new about God, about His mission, or about the people He created. On a good day, I learn several things about all three!

I'm a big fan of good coffee and good food in general. Travelling to countries around the world for missions has allowed me to taste some of the most diverse and sometimes disgusting foods on the planet. Some of my favorite food is in Italy, specifically in Rome and Venice.

I have been privileged to speak at several conferences and dozens of churches about God, His Word, leadership, ministry, and more. My life purpose is to add value to others and equip them to lead and make disciples who make disciples.
